Hello everyone and welcome to my Blog!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This is my first post and we are travelling North, Far North, to a country you do not think of travelling in Winter, or at least you wonder \u201cAm I a bit stupid??\u201d Maybe I am a bit, that\u2019s why I finally travelled to Sweden in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are talking about Malme or Malm\u00f6 of Sweden. It is located in the South-west of Sweden, in the province of Scania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent three days in the town. They were enough to understand that I should definitely visit soon other parts of Northern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Stroll in Slottstradgarden park<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The town is known for the extensive parks, green spaces and it is considered a model of sustainable urban development.
    The park is a great place for strolling, photographs, picnic, or whatever you like. <\/p>\n\n\n

    The Malm\u00f6 Castle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Malm\u00f6 castle is located in the beautiful park of Slottsradgarden. Even though it is not something special as a castle, it is one of the most beautiful sceneries you can see in the city. With the canals around it, the swans, but also the green park is the ideal place for a quiet walk in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n

    3. For fresh fish in Fiskehoddorna<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In this market you can find fresh fish on a daily basis. Also the spot is offered for very beautiful pictures, due to the small red traditional houses.<\/p>\n\n\n

    4The Church of Saint Peter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In the city centre, dominates the large church of Saint Peter. Admission is free and photos are not allowed. <\/p>\n\n\n

    5. The Library of Malm\u00f6<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    An amazing building that offers tranquillity, incredible view and a large collection of books, since it is the biggest library building in the whole country. It is believed to be a popular meeting point for the ones who seek knowledge by all the innovative means. Additionally, it includes a unique characteristic that is called \"borrow a living book\", that basically gives you the opportunity to get to know a story or an experience of a real person. <\/p>\n\n\n

    What to eat!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    I would not say that I am a big fan of Scandinavian cuisine and in combination with the very high prices that exist throughout Scandinavia and of course in Malm\u00f6.
    I definitely tried very tasty sweets , also the coffee was amazing everywhere, and it was the first country in Europe to give you plenty of water.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Nearby Destinations:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The best choice for a day trip is of course the beautiful city of Copenhagen on the opposite side of the Oresund Bridge in Denmark. Take the train from the Malm\u00f6 central station. In about 30 minutes you will be in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is as simple as it sounds and a relatively cheap excursion. The ticket costs around 320 crowns, about 30 euros per person with return. With a well planned schedule if you start early in the morning, you can see a lot of the very interesting sights of this incredible city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to get to Malm\u00f6:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Copenhagen Kastrup Airport around 30 minutes by train from Malm\u00f6. You get the train that takes you directly from the airport and through the Oresund bridge, which connects Denmark with Sweden, you get easily to the main station in Malm\u00f6. The ticket costs around 10 euros per person and the itineraries are quite frequent (every 30 minutes). When it comes to getting around the city things are quite simple, because Malm\u00f6 is a small town and you will not need any means of transport, except your feet. Most of the sights, as well as the main station are within a radius of 1-2 Kilometres and so it is very easy to explore them all in one day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
